A construction worker observes demolition of part of the East Wing of the White House in Washington DC, USA. The demolished section of the East Wing, originally built in 1902 and modified in 1942, will make way for construction of President Trump's ballroom. The 27,400-square-metre ballroom expansion of the White House will seat an estimated 900 people and is estimated to cost US$250 million. The Trump administration said it selected Clark Construction to head the project, with McCrery Architects designing it.
