The countdown has begun for the 32nd edition of Samoter, Italy’s triennial international construction machinery exhibition, returning to Verona from 6–9 May 2026.

With one year to go, organiser Veronafiere says that it is planning an edition that aims to be more interactive, innovation-driven, and internationally focused.

“Samoter,” said Adolfo Rebughini, General Manager of Veronafiere, “is the meeting point for the entire construction machinery supply chain in Italy and a landmark observatory for trends and innovation on a global scale.

“The 32nd edition is making ready to be even more complete, with an expanded exhibition offering, the return of important international players and new e-business networking opportunities. With one year to go until the event, Veronafiere is already in full swing to ensure the show is able to interpret and guide market evolution.”

Organised in collaboration with the Italian construction equipment association UNACEA and Committee for European Construction Equipment (CECE), the event showcases solutions across a wide range of segments, including earthmoving, lifting, demolition, drilling, quarrying, road construction, concrete technologies, logistics, components, and ICT systems.

As part of CECE’s network of partner fairs, Samoter will highlight the ongoing Industry 4.0 transformation within the construction sector. Key themes include ecological transition, sustainability, digitalisation, AI integration, construction site automation, infrastructure innovation, safety, training, and equipment rental.

Returning in 2025 is Samoter Digital, a key initiative that promotes dialogue between technology providers, contractors, operators, and decision-makers. The upcoming edition will further expand the Digital Construction Site concept, transforming the demo area into a fully automated environment.

Among the new features is the launch of the Samoter Academy, designed to address the skills gap in the sector. It will connect students with companies through structured training and certification. Upon completion, participants will earn qualifications as Construction Machinery Repair Technicians or Qualified Operators.
