Komatsu to unveil new machines at Bauma

Among the highlights is the debut of the PC220LCi-12 excavator, equipped with the latest iMC 3.0 features aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency. The model also has a newly designed cab that prioritises operator comfort, along with connectivity solutions that facilitate the digital transformation of job sites.

Visitors can also look forward to the introduction of the Dash 11 wheel loaders WA475-11 and WA485-11, which are developed by Komatsu Ltd. and produced at Komatsu Germany GmbH – Construction Division in Hannover.

Both wheel loaders offer increased payload and bucket capacity while adhering to EU Stage V emissions standards through the integration of a diesel particulate filter.

Larger class wheel loaders will be showcased with the revamped WA700-8, which will be demonstrated in action alongside the 60-tonne HD605-10 rigid dump truck during a live presentation.

Transitioning to urban applications, Komatsu will unveil a new 4-tonne skid steer loader and a 5-tonne compact track loader. Additionally, a 7.5-tonne tight-tail midi excavator will be showcased, designed to fit below mid-sized wheeled excavators, offering precise operation, excellent road handling, and a compact footprint ideal for city environments.

A selection of electric machines will also be featured in live demonstrations within Hall C6, including the PC33E-6 and pre-production models of the PC20 Electric and PC26 Electric. The PC138E-11 and PC210LCE-11, alongside various innovative concept machines, will also be on show. 

Additionally, Komatsu’s area for digitalisation will highlight initiatives such as Smart Construction, Smart Quarry, and a suite of telematics solutions. 

Smart Construction will feature advancements aimed at improving site operations, including expanded compatibility for the 3D Machine Guidance system and the introduction of a refined second-generation Edge with artificial intelligence capabilities for object removal.

Furthermore, Smart Quarry will be presented as an OEM-agnostic solution for managing comprehensive quarry operations, developed in collaboration with MHI Group in Germany. The first implementation of this system is currently being rolled out on a mixed fleet of machinery.
