The new facility, which is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2024, will also include a dedicated machine testing demonstration area.

Develon said the move aims to “foster further growth in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and will solidify the company’s commitment to these markets”.

The company has already initiated operations at a temporary location, with spare parts and services now available to significant areas within Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Hesse.

The company has also introduced an updated rental fleet, with construction machinery available to meet peak demand, manage capital efficiently, and facilitate prolonged product testing.

Commitment to the region

Andreas M Lohner has been introduced as the sales manager for the D-A-CH region and Eastern Europe, adding to his responsibilities as managing director of HD Hyundai Infracore Deutschland, an independent company established by Develon.

Lohner said, “Both our planned location in Lempacher Straße and the interim site in Seckenheimer Landstraße in Mannheim boast exceptional accessibility and an ideal location.”

“By deciding on a fully equipped transitional location, with a workshop that started operating in June, a well-stocked spare parts warehouse, a rental fleet, the latest generation of machines and a wide range of new machines, we can already provide fast, pragmatic and reliable support to customers and partners in the Rhine-Neckar metro region. Every new customer actively helps to create more jobs in the region.”

Develon said establishing the new facility demonstrates its long-term commitment to Germany, reinforcing its ambitious objectives of expanding its foothold and market presence within the German-speaking market.
