Hilti adds heavier tools to battery range

Hilti is expanding the range of tools and equipment using its Nuron battery platform to include 60 heavy duty tools that have previously been available as corded or gas-powered products.

The new range, the first of which will be available in the final quarter of this year, includes breaking, concrete cutting, wood cutting and soil compaction products.

Hilti said the new Nuron batteries provide a higher power output and increased capacity than previous versions, and also charge faster, “helping achieve up to 25% greater efficiency on-site than before”.

Thomas Hillbrand, a member of the Hilti executive board, said; “With this launch, we are equipping construction professionals for the heaviest-duty applications that have traditionally been dominated by corded and gas-powered tools.

“We are increasing customer productivity while also taking comfort and safety on the jobsite into account.”

The new range adds to the more than 120 tools, batteries and chargers already on the Nuron platform, which was originally launched in 2022.

Nuron is a cloud-connected 22-volt power tool battery platform that unifies a wide range of tools in a single system.
