HG adds its largest electric site dumper
19 August 2025
Danish manufacturer HG has added a 3 tonne electric site dumper to its range, joining the 1 tonne and 2 tonne models already available.
The HG E3000 has a 29kWh lithium-ion battery pack and will deliver up to 12 hours of “effective runtime” on a single charge. The articulated drivetrain uses four individual wheel motors, the same arrangement as the 2 tonne E2000.
The integrated charger provides a full charge in about 4 hours and the battery pack comes with a 5 year warranty. The bucket comes with 180° swivel tip as standard and there is an optional high tip version.

The HG E3000 is expected to be ready for delivery in early 2026.
Nikolaj Birkerod, CEO of HG, said; “With the HG E3000, we once again prove that electric dumpers are not only better for people and the environment – they are also more efficient, cheaper to operate, and can run more than a full working day on a single charge.
“Electrification only makes sense when range is no longer a concern. With 3 tonne dumpers, we are proving, as we already have with 2 tonne dumpers, that we can deliver on both performance and reliability – while enabling customers to save 15% per operating hour compared to a diesel dumper.”
HG has been producing site dumpers since 1971 and launched its first battery electric model, a 1 tonne machine, in 2019, with the 2 tonne E2000 following in 2023. It said there are 500 HG electric dumpers currently in service.
