CoalStar, the development flagship of the coal industry in the Republic of Khakassia, is expected to invest the equivalent of around €707 million in the construction of Seaport Aurora, to be located in Bezymyannaya Bay.

The company will undertake construction of the port terminals, with an anticipated capacity of 25 million tonnes for coal and 10 million tonnes for oil.

Transport infrastructure in the vicinity of the port will be constructed simultaneously, although no details have been given about who will undertake its construction.

The Ministry of Transport and Road Industry of the Primorsky Territory, said the project would be completed between 2025 and 2030, with up to 450 jobs created during the construction phase of the project.

Destinations for the coal exports include countries in Eastern and Southern Europe, China, South Korea and Japan.
