Garnea celebrates anniversary with new Doosan facility

Czech construction equipment dealer Garnea has celebrated its 30th anniversary with the opening of a new facility for Doosan machinery.

The 750 sqm facility, based in Neplachov in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic, was officially opened by Sanho Shin, director of strategy and marketing at Doosan.

According to Garnea, which has been an official dealer for Doosan since 2019, the facility will enable the company to service the largest Doosan machines.

It features an entrance adapted for heavy machinery, a bridge crane with a load capacity of 10t, controlled temperature regulation and modern oil management.

Commenting on the opening of the new Doosan facility, Sanho Shin said: “Working with Garnea has exceeded our ambitious expectations. It is incredible how the company has expanded in recent years.

“We are very pleased with the joint growth in the Czech market. In addition, we have a common philosophy with our importer, which is an emphasis on an aftersales approach to customers.”

Company executive Václav Baštýř Jr. added: “Thanks to the cooperation with the Doosan brand, our company is growing rapidly. In the last 5 years, Garnea has doubled in size - we now have 100 employees, 60% of whom are dedicated to aftersales services.

“In some important segments, such as heavy excavators over 25t, we are doing extremely well - it is no exaggeration to say that every fifth excavator sold carries the Doosan brand!”

Founded in 1992, Garnea started out as a supplier of agricultural equipment, before opening construction and municipal divisions. The company says it intends to continue to expand its divisions in the future.
