The space’s new inspection, mod, and repair workshops inside its technical buildings now include new lifting bridges and an overhead crane.

The company first sold forklifts to the European market starting in 1993. In 2006, the company moved to its present location.

“Due to the growth of the activities, the branch was expanded with a new building in 2014. Last year, it was decided to extend the lease of the location for nine years and to carry out a major renovation and modernisation of the buildings,” said Doosan Bobcat.

Included in construction was a two-storey building where about 60 employees work. It includes flexible workstations and additional meeting spaces.

Gary Hornbacher, president of Doosan Bobcat EMEA, said the move was in part to celebrate the “integration of the material handling division into Bobcat, which means an important addition to our portfolio of compact machines.

Construction ‘progressing rapidly’ on Develon’s new German facility Develon said its new German headquarters building should be ready next year

“The completion and delivery of the renovated buildings is the start of a new chapter for our material handling team. We have the ambition to further expand these activities and the location in Sint-Niklaas will play an important role in this.”

The company said the project involved an investment of €2 million (US$2.1 million)

South Korea-based Doosan purchased the US-based Bobcat brand in 2007. The rebranded Doosan Bobcat is a subsidiary of HD Hyundai Infracore.
