Trimble expands Hyundai CE dozer tech option to global markets

US-based construction technology firm Trimble and global OEM Hyundai Construction Equipment (HCE) extended a factory-ready 3D grade Trimble Ready control option for the HD130A bulldozer line to customers worldwide, following an initial rollout in North America in late 2024.

The HD130A XL and HD130A LGP models can now be shipped preconfigured for installation of the Trimble Earthworks platform. The system puts project designs directly in the cab and automatically adjusts the blade’s position, intended to improve accuracy and reduce rework.

Scott Crozier, vice president of civil construction field systems at Trimble, said: “On this dozer model in particular, Trimble technology is integrated on-machine to simplify installation and maximise productivity for Hyundai customers, helping them accelerate their return on investment.”

The global option supports multiple sensor configurations, including dual GNSS, UTS, and laser variants combined with cross slope sensors. Installation, training, and technical support will be provided through Trimble’s SITECH dealer network and authorised resellers.

Trimble and Hyundai said the expanded availability reflects a broader collaboration on operator assist functions and cloud-based connectivity for construction equipment.

“The Trimble Ready HD130A dozers represent a further step forward in delivering intelligent, high-performance machines to our customers,” said Gert Peeters, product manager, HCE Europe, adding “working with Trimble enhances our ability to offer precision and productivity straight from the factory.”
