Parsons Corporation has won the role of project management consultant on the planned Dubai Metro Blue Line.

The Dubai Metro Blue Line is expected to cost AED 18 billion (US$4.9 billion) and is being built by a Turkish-Chinese consortium of contractors, including Mapa, Limak and CRRC.

The line will span a total of 30km and include 14 stations, connecting Mirdif, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Creek Harbour, and Dubai Festival City.

It is expected to be operational in 2029 and is eventually expected to accommodate 320,000 passengers per day.

Under its five-year contract with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Parsons will provide comprehensive project management services including design review, procurement support, construction supervision, testing and commissioning oversight, and project handover management.
