The project will be fully funded, built, and operated by UAE-based Miral, a government-backed development company specialising in large-scale leisure, entertainment, and tourism destinations. The firm has already developed several major attractions on Yas Island, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.

Disney said it will provide creative design and operational oversight through its Imagineering division.

The upcoming resort will be Disney’s seventh global theme park destination and its first fully indoor park, designed to accommodate the region’s extreme summer temperatures.

The development is expected to take approximately seven years to complete, including 18–24 months of design and approximately five years of construction.

While specific financial details have not been disclosed, news reports suggest the project will cost more than US$10 billion to construct.
