Dynamic Load Testing for Deep Foundation Excavations

Dynamic Load Testing provides information about a foundation’s stresses, bearing capacity, and structural integrity.

The Dynamic Load Tester was designed to assess drilled excavations after their construction.

The force and velocity measurements are taken with strains and accelerometers which are attached to the pile.

A drop weight system is used to impact the pile, and the system acquires data from the accelerometers and strains that are attached.

The system is optimized to use a small number of blows at variable drop heights and can use eight universal data channels which is beneficial for dynamic testing of augered cast-in-place piles, continuous flight auger piles and drilled shaft excavations. More channels may be required if a load cell is used.

A top force transducer can be utilized to avoid the need for access windows or excavation around the pile. The top force transducer improves force accuracy and reduces labor costs.
