What is this English Premier League club building in Dubai?
22 May 2025
English Premier League football club Chelsea announced a partnership with a United Arab Emirates-based (UAE-based) development firm to launch a luxury residential development in Dubai.

The structure, known as Chelsea Residences by DAMAC, consists of six residential towers reaching 130m in height and totalling more than 1,400 apartments.
DAMAC is a luxury real estate developer based in the UAE. While a general contractor has not yet been named, DAMAC is expected to lead construction management internally.
The company previously worked with major contractors such as China State Construction Engineering Corporation and UAE-based Arabtec, but no official partner has been confirmed for this project. US-based Gensler is leading design.
Each tower will include Chelsea football-branded amenities, including a rooftop pitch, cryotherapy centre, private cinema, wellness spa, athlete performance lab, and a Chelsea Sports Bar.
The scheme will offer various one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with sea views, with unit sales prices range from about AED 2.1 million (US$572,000) for a one-bedroom unit to more than AED 4.9 million ($1.33 million) for larger apartments (based on public listings from DAMAC and affiliated agencies).
While an exact construction cost has not been disclosed, the project’s overall value is likely to exceed $1 billion based on its size, scope, and luxury positioning.
Preliminary construction is underway, with foundation works targeted for a late 2025 completion. The core structure is scheduled to top out in 2027, with full construction expected to be completed by the end of 2029.
