Webber taps into $720m worth of Texas water projects
06 October 2025

Ferrovial’s US subsidiary Webber has secured two major water infrastructure contracts in Texas worth a combined $720 million. The projects, located in Austin and Fort Worth, aim to expand capacity and improve resilience as both cities continue to grow rapidly.
In Austin, Webber will deliver a $426 million stormwater pump station as part of the I-35 Capital Express Central project for the Texas Department of Transportation.
The 105-ft-deep facility will house four concrete volute pumps capable of handling 260,000 gallons per minute to manage flood and stormwater along the highway corridor. Work began in July and is scheduled for completion in late 2028.
In Fort Worth, Webber will expand the Eagle Mountain Water Treatment Plant by 35 million gallons per day under a $295 million contract. The project includes new filtration, disinfection and sedimentation systems and is due to finish in 2029.
