Volvo to launch remanufacturing programme

Premium Content

24 January 2011

Volvo will use the bC India show to launch its Volvo Remanufactured (Reman) Programme onto the Indian market.

The scheme encourages a more sustainable approach to spare parts by allowing customers to have old components renovated to the same condition as a new part, cutting down on waste. These come with a warranty from Volvo and are cheaper than buying new spare parts.

Volvo is supporting the scheme, which is available in numerous other countries around the world, with the opening of a Reman centre at its factory in Peenya, near Bangalore, India.

In addition to launching this initiative, the company's stand will feature a range of machines, including excavators, loaders, compactors and pavers, as well as other soft systems like CareTrack, Volvo's telematics system to help track and manage equipment.
