The VJ iStore is a bespoke modular shipping container that acts as a vending machine for the most commonly used products on construction sites. The company says that this allows fast-paced projects to get a constant supply of products in a matter of minutes without the need for daily deliveries, which reduces carbon emissions by up to 70%.

The iStore is available 24/7 and only charges users for products they collect, boosting cash flow. It is the first of its kind in Europe and the UK, and smaller versions can be deployed using a dedicated site room.

Andrew Mobbs, CEO at VJ Technology said, “These are challenging times for the sector and we are on a mission to de-risk the construction and infrastructure supply chain, playing our part to help projects finish on budget and on time.

“It is unique because it fuses ecommerce, smart security and smart logistics with our tried and tested supply chain to provide a seamless customer experience. You can collect the product as quickly as you can walk to the store and open the door. This truly is the next level in the construction supply chain.”
