US firm receives $1bn for California healthcare campus project

US-based general contractor Rudolph and Sletten, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini, received a contract valued at more than US$1 billion for a healthcare campus build in California, US.

Tutor Perini said the scope of work includes the construction of a new hospital, an energy centre and a parking garage.

Work is expected to begin in late 2024 with substantial completion is anticipated for 2029.

Tutor Perini recently announced that it expects to have a new record backlog of approximately US$14 billion as of September 30, 2024, up 35% compared to the backlog reported as of June 30, 2024.
