Video: Time-lapse captures Glasgow student tower rising at speed

A time lapse video shows the construction progress of 16-floor apartments at St Vincent Studios in Glasgow, Scotland.

The short video shows the development of 321 self-contained studio apartments rising out of the ground – a high-speed combination of hundreds of drone images taken daily since the start of construction in November 2024.

The £38 million (US$50.2 million) development is on schedule for completion in summer 2026, ahead of next year’s new academic term. It will provide purpose-built studio apartments over 16 floors, together with a range of additional facilities and amenities.

The development is a joint venture bringing together regeneration-specialist Artisan Real Estate with equity investor Housing Growth Partnership. The development, which is being delivered by building contractor Graham, will be operated by Homes for Students, the UK’s largest independent student management company.

Video produced by Graham.
