Terex Recycling Systems and ZenRobotics, both part of US-based Terex, have announced their entry into the Australian market, supported by local affiliate Terex Jaques.

The move will allow both recycling technology businesses to sell directly to Australian customers while drawing on Jaques’ established service network.

Terex Jaques, one of Australia’s oldest engineering groups, has offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The company specialises in crushing equipment for quarrying and mining and will provide local technical support, parts supply and after-sales services for the recycling brands.

Terex Recycling Systems was set up in 2021 to design and build stationary and modular recycling plants, while Finland’s ZenRobotics was acquired by Terex in 2022. ZenRobotics is best known for applying artificial intelligence to automate waste sorting.

Michael McMenamin, Australian regional sales manager for both recycling businesses, said the expansion would bring, “state-of-the-art recycling solutions directly to Australia” with the support of Terex Jaques’ local expertise.

The four Jaques offices will act as sales and service hubs, with dedicated staff assigned to provide project consultation, installation and maintenance for the recycling systems.
