Skanska wins landmark London contract

Sweden’s Skanska has been appointed by the UK’s Land Securities Group to design and build its latest mixed-use development in London, UK, - 1 & 2 New Ludgate, London, EC4.

The contract, worth £109 million (€130 million), will see the contractor work on a 35,000m2 scheme spanning two buildings and a new public piazza. Works will include the design and construction of two office buildings, as well as developing retail and restaurant space, plus external landscaping.

Work is scheduled to start in August 2013 and conclude in April 2015.

Skanska will post the £109 million (€130 million) contract in its second quarter 2013 figures.
