Shanghai's SWFC tops out

The Shanghai World Financial Centre (SWFC), Shanghai, China is now the tallest structure in the country.
In June it passed the previous record holder, its neighbour, the 420.5 m high Jin Mao Tower.
When complete later this year the US$ 1.1 billion SWFC will be 492 m high.
The 377300 m2 tower is being built by a consortium of China State Construction Engineering and Shanghai General Construction Group.
Kohn Pedersen Fox is design architect and Leslie E. Robertson Associates is the structural designer.
