SBM Euromix on Czech motorway

02 September 2009

Skanska's Czech subsidiary, Skanska DS, recently invested in an SBM Euromix 4000 mobile concrete mixing facility for work on the D1 motorway linking Prague, Brno and Ostrava in the Republic, part of the fourth European traffic corridor.

The wheel-mounted Euromix 4000 was launched last year and has a capacity of 170 m3 per hour. SBM said Skanska selected the Euromix 4000 because of its ability to fulfil the demands of the project economically and with minimum risk.

A spokesperson said, "Mobile on-site concrete production directly influenced concrete quality because it negated the need for long distance transportation, a significant factor in enabling the project to progress on time."
