29 October 2015

Sweden-based engineers Sandvik has invested £1.6 million (€2.2 million) in its factory in Ballygawley, Northern Ireland.

The investment sees a new powder coat facility, which will enable the mobile crushers and screens manufacturing process to benefit from reduced assembly times, as well as producing other operating synergies, according to the company.

The powder coat plant will also make a contribution to improved environmental conditions, and health and safety during manufacturing. This will be achieved through an automated process, improved material utilisation, atmosphere protection and no requirement for hazardous waste disposal, the company added.

The powder coat facility became operational at Sandvik on July 27.
