Rototilt rolls out new equipment

Rototlit’s latest sorting bucket is fully compatible with the company’s titlrotators
Rototilt has released four updated tiltrotator models, which incorporate new technology aimed at giving them longer service life and smoother operation.
The Swedish manufacturer launched the R4, R5, R6 and R8 models, which also boast a new rotation sensor for more precise positioning.
The new versions of the R series tiltrotators – from R5 and above – have a new rotation gear
wheel, with improved geometry and tighter manufacturing tolerances, reducing friction. The series also come with a new worm gear, which has built-in lubrication channels, with the potential to increase their service life.
All models within the series have an optional patent-pending safety lock called SecureLock – constantly monitoring to ensure tools and attachments are always securely coupled.
Rototilt has also added new sorting buckets to its equipment range, which currently includes titlrotators, machine couplers and control systems.
The new buckets are available for machines weighing between 12 and 25 tonnes.
The design of the buckets features wear zones made from steel with a hardness of 500 Brinell, as ell as curved areas strengthened with 450 Brinell steel.
Rototilt says the material has increased bucket durability by up to 30%, compared with other buckets currently on the market, while at the same time being the lightest, offering both fuel savings and environmental benefits.
Kenneth Aslaksen, product manager for the Tools division at Rototilt, said, “Everyone knows that the bucket roof is the Achilles heel. If the outer edge of the cutting edge gets caught up extremely high torque is generated in the bucket, which can cause cracking on the joints to the mounting bracket. However, we’ve managed to eliminate this problem with our new design.”
Aslaksen adds, “Our sorting buckets are perfect for use together with the unique pulse function offered by our tiltrotators. Complementing our existing bucket range with these new buckets is a strategic step to broaden our tool range.”
