Plantworx exhibition returns

Premium Content

The dates for the 2023 Plantworx construction equipment exhibition in the UK have been confirmed, after the original 2021 dates for trade event had to be pushed back several times due to the pandemic, and subsequent scheduling conflicts.

According to the CEA (Construction Equipment Association), which hosts the event, the fifth edition of the biennial show will now run from the 13 to 15 June next year.

It is anticipated that roughly 450 machine manufacturers, suppliers and service providers will exhibit at the show, which in 2019 attracted around over 15,000 visitors.

The CEA’s new chief executive, Suneeta Johal, said, “Plantworx 2023 will be my first show as CEO and I am very much looking forward to it. I believe with the amount of new and emerging technology this event is set to be the best yet.

“There’s a real appetite for attending ‘in-person’ exhibitions again. Our recent Futureworx technology exhibition proved to be a great success – and there was a real buzz amongst both the exhibitors and visitors.”

The three-day construction industry event - said to be the largest in the UK - will feature the latest equipment and technological advancements.

The show will also have a “comprehensive demonstration programme” that will enable visitors to see the machines in action, in “real-site’ conditions”.

As is previous years the event will take place at the East of England Arena and Events Centre in Peterborough, “following positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors” who attended in 2019.

Simon Frere-Cook, Plantworx event director said, “With so much importance being attached to the working demonstrations, we have undertaken an extensive survey of the grounds at the East of England Arena so that we can spread the demonstration plots and thus improve the footfall throughout the site.

With the 2023 site plan for the event now being finalised following the results of the survey, exhibitor stand sales will begin in June 2022.

*The Plantworx 2023 team will also be present at the upcoming Hillhead Exhibition in Derbyshire next month.  Angela Spink, Plantworx Sales manager, will be at the show (on Stand PB24) to answer any questions about the 2023 event.
