Kovacevski said that he expects ESM to launch the construction of another 10 MW solar power plant in Oslomej in 2023.

The country has significant plans to focus on renewable energy projects as part of its wider energy transition.

The Prime Minister is also said to have pointed out, other projects for the construction of photovoltaic power plants in REC Bitola, with a capacity of between 200 and 300 MW, are being finalised, and in the next two years all 130 MW of photovoltaic power plants should be put into use.

The first large-scale solar plant in North Macedonia, a 10 MW solar plant Oslomej 1 owned by ESM, was reported to be connected to the power grid in April 2022.
