When commissioned, the park will constitute one of the largest of its kind in Europe.

The minister of energy and mining for the country’s Serb Republic met with the director of the renewable energy firm ETMax to sign the 50-year concession deal.

ETMax will build seven solar power plants, with the construction project expected to be completed within four years.

The company will initially construct a plant in the municipality, where it will manufacture the parts for the photovoltaic panels.

ETMax will pay the government a concession fee of 0.005 BAM per kilowatt hour, once the solar park is producing electricity, 95% of which will be directed to the budget of Nevesinje.
