The US-based company aims to address America’s surging energy demand by adopting fleet-scale deployment of nuclear power stadiums and a “design once, build many” methodology.

The firm hopes the approach will avoid the common projects, which are often over budget and behind schedule, by lowering cost and minimising delays.

Thompson joins from Redwood Materials, a manufacturing technology company that is creating an electric battery supply chain across America, where he was chief financial officer.

Thompson, who served in the US Navy and National Security Agency, earning numerous awards including a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, said, “The Nuclear Company’s unique fleet-scale approach and commitment to modernizing nuclear construction inspired me to join, as I’ve seen firsthand the need for more firm, baseload energy to power America’s manufacturing resurgence.”

“Every tech giant is turning to nuclear to power their AI expansion plans, and The Nuclear Company is working to ensure America has the abundant clean power needed to fortify its place as the world’s top economy.”
