31 January 2020
Telecommunications company OPPO has selected Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) to build its new headquarters in Shenzhen, China.
The headquarters will be four interconnected towers of 42 floors reaching a height of 200m.
According to ZHA, the design incorporates two towers of flexible and open-plan space areas linked by a vertical lobby and two external service towers to provide vertical circulation.
The building will have a Sky Plaza on the tenth floor to provide dining, leisure and entertainment facilities, as well as a rooftop SkyLab.
OPPO launched its first phone in 2008 and is now one of China’s biggest smartphone manufacturers with employees in more than 40 countries around the world.
Construction on the project is due to begin later this year and is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
