New CEO for Atlas Copco

Atlas Copco has appointed Ronnie Leten as its new president and CEO, effective 1 June, 2009. Mr Leten will replace Gunnar Brock, who has requested to leave his position after having run Atlas Copco for seven years.
Mr Brock will resign from the board of Atlas Copco in April.
Mr Leten, 53, is currently president of the company's Compressor Technique division.
Between 1985 and 1999 Mr Leten held various positions within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area within IT, logistics systems, supply management, distribution and manufacturing.
In 1999, he became president of the Airtec division and in 2001, president of the Industrial Air division. Mr Leten has been president of Compressor Technique since 2006.
Born in Belgian he has a university degree in Applied Economics from the country's Hasselt University.
Mr Leten will be the second non-Swede to run Atlas Copco from its headquarters in Nacka, Sweden, and the 11th president and CEO since the company was founded in 1873.
