Mini-excavator launched

Bobcat’s new 4,2 tonne 335 mini-excavator is designed to fill the gap between its 331/334 (3 to 4 tonne) and 337/341 (5 to 6 tonne) models.

The 335’s cab is designed to provide maximum operator comfort while reducing the overall height of the machine. This, according to the company, results is a more easily transportable machine. At the back of the cab, the tailgate provides strong protection for the engine and other components and opens wide for easy maintenance.

Powered by a 30,3 kW Kubota V2203-m-di-E2B-BC-4 turbodiesel engine, maximum digging depth is 3,56 m with the standard dipper arm, while maximum reach at ground level is 5,43 m. Maximum slewing speed is 9 rpm, while the boom can swing 90° to the left and 50° to the right. Auxiliary hydraulic flow is 75 litres/minute, and the top travel speed is 5,5 km/hour.

The 335 also features a load- sensing hydraulic system for optimum use of hydraulic power in digging applications. As the operator does not have to compensate for changes in flow or load conditions, the excavator is easy to control. The load-sensing system provides precision at all engine speeds, with predictable movements, resulting in faster cycle times and lower fuel consumption.

A dual outlet piston pump provides increased flow, removing the need for an additional gear pump. A dual cylinder blade-float comes as standard.
