19 March 2008

Construction of the Foster + Partners designed "Living Wall' project in Jordan is now underway, with excavation work on the 150000 m2 mixeduse complex, close to the new Al-Abdali city centre, Amman completed.

Grouped together on a podium, the design comprises a set of six inter-connected towers containing a hotel, residential units and offices, while the podium itself will contain shopping and leisure facilities.

The deep spaces between the towers will house a variety of sheltered public spaces, including a sunken amphitheatre and a large, sheltered square.
