Larsen & Toubro wins 4.5km-long Mumbai bridge deal

Premium Content

India’s biggest construction contractor Larsen & Toubro has won a deal to build a 4.5km-long bridge in Mumbai.

Its L&T Construction division will build the crossing between Dahisar and Bhayander for the Mumbai Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM).

Larsen & Toubro has not given the contract a precise value but defines it as a ‘large’ contract, which it defines as being worth between the range of ₹ Cr 2,500-5,000 (US$300m-$600m).

The project will also have two large navigational spans along the creek. L&T is already in charge of building two packages of the Mumbai Coastal Road projects for MCGM.
