Karl Thies joins CE’s green construction debate

FIEC sustainability and policy expert completes panel for 7 October webinar

Karl Thies, an economic and environmental affairs expert with the European Construction Industry Federation, is the third panellist announced for the first Construction Europe webinar on sustainable construction.

The free to attend webinar, titled The Price of Green Construction will take place on Thursday, 7 October at 3pm CET.

Karl will join Dave Cheshire, a sustainability director with Aecom Engineering, and Ian Riley, CEO of the World Cement Association, to discuss the many challenges that face construction businesses on the road to net-zero-carbon projects.

The panel will look at how materials and methods are set to change for construction and the impact that will have on the industry and the companies operating in it.

Topics on the agenda include the dos and don’ts of recycling, the development of green cement and low carbon materials, the European Green Deal and how construction businesses can access sustainable financing.
