JCB showcases US manufacturing capability with military machines in Washington DC
12 May 2025

UK-based construction equipment manufacturer JCB is set to showcase its US manufacturing capability in Washington DC this week, with machines adapted for military use.
The company will highlight the Marine Tactical Supply (MTS) variant of its 3TS-8T compact track loader, designed for the United States Marine Corps, and a 510-56 telehandler at the 2025 Celebration of Construction on the National Mall in the US capital.
JCB has manufactured machines for North America from its factory in Savannah, Georgia, for the last 25 years. Around 10% of the 1,000 people it employs there are US military veterans.
The company also recently announced that it would build a new $500 million, one-million-square-foot manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas. Once complete, it will produce JCB telehandlers, including the 510-56 model.
JCB is delivering the MTS variant of its Teleskid 3TS-8T to the US Marine Corps under a $39 million contract and also supplies the US Army with the Light Capability Rough Terrain Forklift (LCRTF), under a 10-year contract that started in 2016. It has produced 1,000 units of the machine.
Chris Giorgianni, vice president of product, government and defense at JCB North America, said, “JCB is proud to support the US military – not only through the machines we manufacture but through the veterans we employ and the initiatives we support.”
Richard Fox-Marrs, president and CEO of JCB North America added, “The Teleskid, whether our MTS model or the jobsite-ready version, is a prime example of JCB’s commitment to supporting the construction industry and the skilled workers – many of whom have served in uniform – who keep America building.”
