IHP reappointed to £9bn healthcare framework

Integrated Health Projects (IHP), a longstanding joint venture company comprised of Vinci Construction UK and Sir Robert McAlpine, has been reappointed to the ProCure23 (P23) healthcare framework.

Part of Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Construction Works and Associated Services 2 Framework, P23 has an expected cumulative spend of £9 billion during its 4-year lifespan.

CCS supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.

The latest commercial agreement will mean that health bodies in England will have a new route to market for construction works and associated services.

Alan Kondys, IHP and VINCI Health Sector Director, said, “IHP are delighted to continue to support the NHS nationally through P23.

“We will build on our legacy of over 200 healthcare projects to improve healthcare outcomes. To achieve this, we will continue to support the collaborative initiatives on stakeholder engagement, standardisation, project assurance and carbon reduction to increase efficiency and sustainability.”

In its role, IHP will now help to develop new, refurbished and repurposed health facilities that are reflective of the changes to healthcare, advances in clinical and medical capabilities and the broader societal, environmental and technological challenges and opportunities.

P23 is the fourth generation of the ProCure framework for the design and construction of NHS capital projects. IHP has been involved in each generation of the framework, during which time it has supported over 75 NHS Trusts and healthcare providers.

P23, to which a joint venture between Mace Construction and Willmott Dixon was also appointed, will commence later this year.  It replaces P22, which has been extended until 30 June to enable continuity of design and construction services.
