Hoses going underground

Premium Content

20 March 2008

The Atlas Copco Rockhose concept is the company's own quality hose for use in underground equipment in tunnelling and mining. The Rockhose 2/4 is the standard quality hose and is recommended for products and areas with no particular problems associated with hydraulic hose life. The premium quality hose, the Rockhose 2/4+, is developed for the same underground environment and is recommended for use wherever premature wear of hydraulic hoses is encountered. The Rockhose 4++ represents the top of the range quality hose especially developed for the same environment, including an extra high wear-resistance cover, as well as a cord structure that can handle high frequency pressure peak. It is for use in new rig models with high frequency rock drills and in areas where service life problems occur in high wear areas.
