Global launch for next generation Volvo loaders and ADTs

Samoter will be the first public showing anywhere in the world for Volvo Construction Equipment's new generation of haulers and wheeled loaders.

Volvo said that while many have viewed Stage IIIB emissions compliance as the key driver of developments over the past few years, it has considered the legislation much more as an endorsement of its core value of environmental care.

As such, the new models launched by Volvo at Samoter are being described as emission compliant as a matter of course, while it added that, more importantly, they set new standards in terms of design, fuel efficiency, performance, quality and safety.

The six-strong range of Volvo F-Series articulated haulers (ADTs) starts with the A25F featuring a load capacity of 24 tonnes, through to the A40F FS with a load capacity of 39 tonnes. On show at Samoter will be both the 28 tonne capacity A30F and the range-topping A40F.

Volvo said its new G-Series range of wheeled loaders set new standards in terms of fuel efficiency with an improvement of up to 15% over the previous F-Series loaders. The new D-Series generation of Volvo's tracked excavators will be represented at Samoter by the range-topping 50,5 tonne EC480D. New B-Series backhoe loaders from Volvo Construction Equipment represent a thorough redesign of this utility segment specialist.

For the first time, Volvo Penta's industrial engines will be on show at Samoter offering an SCR solution to Stage IIIB compliance.
