Housebuilding company Truelove Property and Construction (TP&C) has taken delivery of the first Bobcat R-Series telehandlers to arrive in the UK.

Three of the Stage V compliant T41.140SLP model machines were recently handed over to the Lincolnshire-based firm, which has built over 1,000 new homes in the region since it was established in 1968.

Launched in May of this year, the T41.140SLP telehandler and is one of the twelve R-Series models that make up the manufacturer’s new generation of fixed boom telehandlers.

The model has a maximum lifting capacity of 4.1 tonnes, a lift height of 13.6m and a forward reach of 9.8m.

In addition to increased visibility from the cab, the R-Series telehandler also feature a newly configured transmission system that enables more precise movements when working at height.

TP&C’s new T41.140SLP telehandlers are already onsite in Lincolnshire.

Other new features of the T41.140SLP include a more accurate joystick from which operates can operate both Turtle and Rabbit speed settings, and “a new DYNAMIC mode for applications requiring rapid transmission response”.

Supplied by authorised dealer AMC Bobcat, TP&C’s three T41.140SLP telehandlers were among five machines ordered by the company.

The family-run firm invested in the new machines for use across both its construction business and its farming subsidiary.

Barrie Truelove, Owner and Director of TP&C, said, “We were not satisfied with the performance of our previous brand of telehandlers.

“We chose to replace them with the Bobcat telehandlers for a number of reasons including their suitability for our applications, the price, the lead time and the quality and locality of service offered by AMS Bobcat.”

Truelove said, “It has been a very successful transition as all of our operators are very happy with the new Bobcat telehandlers.”
