PLW Waterworks, a subsidiary of Spanish infrastructure giant Ferrovial, has won a $200 million water treatment contract in Pflugerville, Texas.

PLW Waterworks is a joint venture between Ferrovial-owned companies Webber and Cadagua.

It specializes in water purification, treatment, reuse and desalination systems using design-bid-build

It will build the Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant under the deal.

Once completed, the Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant will be able to treat up to six million gallons per day to accommodate Pflugerville’s growth and service needs.

The scope of work includes the construction of all the operations and maintenance buildings and the installation of equipment and technology for every stage of treatment. Construction is expected to start this summer and to be completed in 2026.

Jose Carlos Esteban, CEO of Webber, said, “We are grateful to provide infrastructure solutions to one of the state’s fastest-growing regions.

“This project reinforces our leading position in the waterworks industry in Texas and continued commitment to support our communities.”
