Atlas Copco has agreed to buy compaction and paving equipment manufacturer Dynapac from private equity company Altor 2003 for SEK 6,3 billion (€ 700 million), of which SEK 2,1 billion (€ 231 million) is assumed debt. Dynapac, which is headquartered in Malmö, has annual sales of SEK 4,6 billion (€ 505 million) and 2100 employees.

Björn Rosengren president of Atlas Copco's Construction and Mining Technique (CMT) division said, “Atlas Copco has identified road construction as a strategic growth area. It is a market of about SEK 30 billion (€ 3,3 billion) with an expected growth of +4 to +5% annually given the expected renewal of the western world's infrastructure as well as growing infrastructure investments in the developing world.”
