On its stand at Bauma, Doosan has given visitors a first look at XiteCloud, a platform built for smart construction that enables users to manage multiple tasks at once.

Described as an ‘All-in-One Platform’ by the company, XiteCloud is a part of Concept-X, an unmanned automated and integrated control solution for construction, quarrying and mining sites.

The cloud-based platform, which the company says is the first stage of commercialising Concept-X, enables users to manage multiple tasks at once, while also allowing them to manage multiple projects on a single platform - a feature that Doosan says can help manage data that can be utilised for future decision making.

Other aspects of the Concept-X are also on show, including the XiteCore, XiteFleet, XiteAuto, XiteAnalyst, XiteSafety and XiteSIM.

Also on show is the Transparent Bucket safety system, which was nominated for the Bauma Innovation Award.

The bucket, believed to be the first of its kind, has been designed to overcome common blind spots encountered by wheeled loader operators.

A monitor in the cab of the machine allows the driver to view all areas that are inhibited by the bucket through the view of cameras at the front of the machine.

The cameras provide real-time images of the front of the loader which is then relayed to the operator. According to Doosan, the system improves safety, prevents accidents and improves work effieciency

The theme of technology and smart equipment is also highlighted by Doosan with the company‘s new DX225LC-7X ‘Smart’ crawler excavator, which comes with TeleOperation that allows it to be operated remotely.

The DoosanCONNECT Digital Platform has also been a highlight on its stand. The platform can manage machinery from Doosan, with new upgrades including the ability to manage all processes from operation and maintenance to parts purchase.

For machinery, Doosan has exhibited its new DX1000LC-7 Stage V compliant 100 tonne crawler excavator, the company’s largest excavator to date.

The ‘DX-7’ Excavator Range also features, alongside additions to Doosan’s wheel loader, compact excavator and dump truck portfolios.
