Date and first speaker announced for KHL sustainability event

The date of September 13, 2022, is now confirmed for KHL’s inaugural Construction Sustainability Summit, with the event commencing at 3.00pm (UK time).

The first speaker for the upcoming online event has also been confirmed: Niklas Nillroth, head of sustainability and public affairs at Volvo Construction Equipment.

The free to attend Construction Sustainability Summit – jointly organised by Construction Europe and International Construction magazines – will examine the trend being termed the triple bottom line, ‘people, planet, profit’, and ask whether sustainable construction can be good for both the planet and for business.

Nillroth is a leading figure in the construction industry. He has chaired the Swedish Construction Equipment Association SACE as well as the Committe for European Construction Equipment (CECE). Volvo CE is one of the main OEMs investing in electric construction equipment and company now has five electric machine options

Nillroth will share the company’s sustainability plans and the challenges and opportunities this mega trend presents for the industry.

There will be presentations from experts in engineering, building materials, and contracting. This free online event will look at new ideas on energy use, materials, logistics and financing – developments that promise to turn construction projects green, while keeping a lid on costs.
