The € 250 million csepel sewerage project in the southern suburbs of Budapest, Hungary is part of the country's € 2,5 billion sewage disposal and treatment modernisation program.

Covering 50000 m2 and with a capacity of 350000 m3 per day it is the largest of the 20 new plants to be built. It is scheduled to go on-stream in 2010.

During construction the main contractor, Hungary's Hídépítö and Alterra, used 53000 m3 of concrete. Construction of the 36 clarification basins used Doka's Top 50 large area formwork to form 12370 linear metres of water-impermeable wall, 2 to 9 m high (150000 m2), with wall from 250 to 650 mm thick.

The basin walls were poured in one with the Top 50 formwork being re-used throughout. Supplied “ready to use” and “just in time” to optimise use and save on site storage Doka's field service technicians helped the construction crew make expert use of the Top 50 formwork, while the lower walls were poured using Doka's Frami hand-set formwork.

Doka's Eurex 60 props were used alongside its Top 50 panels, while its KS column formwork was used to form 208, 4,1 m high columns. The KS system includes Doka's XS ladder system, which features integral ladder cages.
