Buildots launches tool to eliminate construction workflow bottlenecks

Buildots has announced the launch of what it claims to be the industry’s first tool designed to structure and automate the widely used ‘Line of Balance’ project control method.

The new feature provides a comprehensive view of progress and potential delays across multiple activities, enabling site teams to easily identify future bottlenecks, manage dependencies, and adjust their pacing to avoid disruptions and escalating delays.

The new Line of Balance tool offers a centralised view of multiple activities, ensuring effective coordination, alignment, and continuity throughout the project.

By mapping the progress and relationships between activities in a single view, the feature is said to empower site teams to plan and implement corrective actions that address the root causes of issues rather than merely treating the symptoms.

“GCs who practice the Line of Balance method today rely on manual calculations, pen and paper, or workaround solutions in their scheduling software,” said Roy Danon, co-founder and CEO of Buildots.

“With our new Line of Balance feature, we’re expanding the Performance-Driven Construction Management toolkit Buildots is offering the industry, providing teams with unprecedented visibility into activity on site, and allowing them to spot potential bottlenecks and act before the cascading delays start.”

The Line of Balance feature is now available to all Buildots customers.
