Bouygues Construction has been awarded a €124 million contract to build the Incity Tower – a 200m tall skyscraper that will be the tallest building in Lyon, France, when complete.

Designed by Valode & Pistre and AIA architects, the office tower is being built for developer Sogelym Dixence and is scheduled for completion in late 2015.

With 44,145m² of floor space on 40 storeys, the Incity Tower will replace the old UAP tower, which Bouygues Construction also demolished. The new building is being designed with low energy consumption in mind, and Bouygues claims it will consume less than 90kWhPE (kW hours of primary energy) per m² per year, which compares to between 300 and 800kWhPE/m²/year for the previous generation of office towers.
