The world’s largest construction trade fair is finally back and, with over half a million people expected to attend, we’ve rounded up the all the information you need to organise your Bauma visit.

When and where is Bauma?

The construction exhibition will take place at the Trade Fair Center Messe München, located east of Munich, Germany, from Monday 24 to Sunday 30 October 2022.

Bauma opening times:

The venue will be open to visitors from 09:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday,  from 08:30 and 18:30 on Saturday, and between 09:30-16:30 on the Sunday.

Where can I buy tickets for Bauma?

A one-day ticket for Bauma costs €29, although there are numerous ticketing options, including special rates for groups. Click here for details from the official Bauma website.

How to get to Bauma

By public transport - Quick and environmentally friendly: The U2 subway line, station “Messestadt West” gives you direct access to the ICM – Internationales Congress Center München.

Please note that your Bauma ticket does not entitle you to use any public transport operated by MVV (Munich Transport and Tariff Association) free of charge.

By car - The trade-fair centre is located directly on the A 94 motorway—reach it by taking the exit München-Riem (Exit Nr. 5).

By train - Taking the train to Munich to attend Bauma is convenient, safe and environmentally friendly. You will need around 20 minutes from Munich central station.

By plane - Munich Airport, the second-largest airport in Germany, guarantees you excellent continental and intercontinental connections.

Arranging hotel accommodation

For hotel bookings, please contact your own trusted travel agency or the Messe München partner companies named on the bauma website.

Please also remember that “Messe München GmbH has not commissioned any travel agencies, especially in the UK or the U.S., to contact exhibitors and sell hotel rooms.

“Please be alert if you are contacted from English-speaking telephone numbers that also give the impression of calling in the name of and on behalf of the event team.

“Do not book any hotel rooms over the phone if you receive such a call, and do not disclose any payment information over the phone.”

Finding your way around Bauma

Bauma’s organisers say the sell-out show will run across 200,000m2 of indoor space and around 400,000m2 outdoor space – and more than 3,000 companies from some 60 countries will be exhibiting.

As always, there is a packed schedule with plenty to see and do across the week and a comprehensive support programme in place to maximise everyone’s time at the show.

But of course, the first thing you will need when you actually get there is a decent map...

As well as a downloadable floorplan of the exhibition grounds, the event’s organisers have also provided an interactive map online.

In addition to showing all the different areas of the grounds, the Bauma interactive map also allows users to click on specific areas for a detailed floorplan that shows exactly where each exhibitor is located.
