Balfour Beatty wins Hong Kong Science Park contract

Hong Kong based Gammon Construction, which is 50% owned by Balfour Beatty, has been awarded a US$ 280 million contract to extend the Hong Kong Science Park.
The Hong Kong Science Park currently houses 350 companies. A phased expansion will add more than 100000 m² to the site. Gammon Construction will work on Phase 3a/3b, which will be built using the latest green construction technologies and sustainable building design.
It is hoped that the project will achieve the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum standard when completed. Work will start in December 2013.
