Ammann has acquired the asphalt finisher technology division of Antec and Italian Road Machinery for an undisclosed cash sum.

The acquisition adds small and medium size asphalt finishers to Ammann's product range, and secures jobs at the San Lazzaro di Savena facility near Bologna, Italy.

"The addition of the new model range means that we can now offer our customers every product they need to build roads," said Dr Anton Demarmels, director of common research and development at Ammann.

"We believe this acquisition further secures Ammann's position in the global market for the supply of road construction equipment," he said.
